Up to 2 years on the road


  • Pick up or Drop off at any of SA depots will be charged a Road Tax of ZAR250 per rental agreement.
  • The motorhome must return in clean condition, otherwise a fee of ZAR1,500 is charged.
  • Toilet tank must return emptied, otherwise a fee of ZAR3,500 is charged.
  • Drivers aged 23-24 (minimum 3 years license) have a surcharge of ZAR1,500.
  • Each border crossing from South Africa requires a ZAR1,000 border crossing surcharge.
  • Customers requiring cross-border documentation must give THRSA a minimum of 3 working days notice thereof.
  • Pick-up and Drop-off in Durban, Nelspruit or George (round trip) has a ZAR11,000 surcharge.
  • Pick-up and Drop-off in East London or Port Elizabeth (round trip) has a ZAR16,000 surcharge.
  • Minimum rental period: 5 days for collection from Maun and 15 days for collection from Gabarone and Kasane.
  • Pick-up in Johannesburg or Cape Town during Afrika Burn (19 April to 2 May 2024) or Cape Epic (13-24 March 2024), has a special levy and a different T&C and prices.
