About Budget 2
Built on the international award winning LDV V80, the Koru Star 2ST features innovative and qualitative accommodation on wheels for up to three individuals.
The rear bed is large enough to accommodate 2 adults and 1 child or three adult friends. The passenger airbag can be switch-disabled if this is needed for rear facing child restraints.
The Koru Star 2ST features a range of modern materials and appliances. The entire interior furniture is made from durable plywood, covered by hard wearing yet visually attractive Formica veneer. The appliances feature a 85l fridge, 2 stove gas cooking, a shower toilet cubicle, a large and comfortable bed and generous storage compartments.
Standard features include LPG central gas heating as well as a 12V power supply and two USB ports. Two roof vents help to ventilate the vehicle. The TV is hardwired into the rear speakers (4X50W).
The hot water is powered by a heat exchanger, connected to the vehicle cooling system. There is no need for gas or any other fuel to heat water. Once the engine reaches operating temperature, the in-house water will be hot for a period of up to 24 hours.
The on-board dual house battery system provides a generous 3.1-kilowatt hours of battery storage. Combined with a quality charging system, this vehicle will last when freedom camping. USB ports and a separate 12V power supply ensure you can charge 12-volt appliances anywhere you go.

- Rental days are calculated per 24 hours - pick up and drop off at the same hour. Late drop-off will be charged as an extra day.
- After-hours vehicle collection/return are not available after 08.00 pm and before 6.30 am.
- Smoking or pets are not allowed on vehicles. NZ$200 fine for infractions.
- A NZ$250 cleaning fee will apply if the camper is returned not reasonably clean.
- A NZ$35 handling fee will be charged for unpaid parking or traffic violations and NZ$20 for toll roads.
- Grey water tank and toilet must be empty before returning the campervan, otherwise NZ$250 for the toilet and NZ$25 for the grey water tank will be charged.
- Vehicle must be returned to the agreed location and time, otherwise NZ$1,500 penalty will apply.

The caravan we got was at a level of equipment and comfort that was truly "German". Knowing you also have an Israeli back-up in case of issues/problems (even though there weren't any) definitely helps you get into the caravan project with peace of mind. This is my third time.
