Starting an 11-day journey from the magical town of Rovaniemi in a rented motorhome, we set off on an unforgettable adventure across the landscapes of Finland and Sweden, heading all the way to the bustling city of Stockholm. Traveling by RV makes this route a breeze, giving us the flexibility to explore at our own pace and enjoy the scenic stops along the way.
Our journey kicks off with the enchanting Santa Claus Village and Lapland Husky Safaris. The village is filled with festive cheer year-round, and the kids can’t get enough of meeting Santa and crossing the Arctic Circle. Meanwhile, a husky safari offers a unique experience with these friendly, iconic sled dogs. It’s a fantastic way to start our road trip, with a mix of Christmas magic and an introduction to Finland’s winter culture.

On our final stretch, we visit Vårbergs Flea Market in Stockholm’s outskirts, where we can browse for quirky souvenirs and local treasures. Finally, we celebrate our arrival in Stockholm with a meal at the iconic Tennstopet, a traditional Swedish restaurant that offers a cozy atmosphere and delicious local dishes.
