Setting off from Kløfta in our rented RV, we eagerly embark on an unforgettable road trip through Norway’s fjords. The freedom of a campervan allows us to travel at our own pace, soaking in breathtaking landscapes and exploring some of the country's best family-friendly attractions. Our first encounters with Norway’s wildlife begin at Bear Park, where we marvel at majestic bears, lynxes, and wolverines in their naturalistic enclosures. This stop is a highlight for animal lovers, offering an up-close experience with Scandinavian wildlife. From there, Geilo Summer Park and Geilo Holiday provide a mix of outdoor excitement, from high-ropes courses to ziplining and scenic biking trails—perfect for family fun.

Continuing our motorhome journey, we admire the engineering marvel of Sysen Dam, a striking reservoir that plays a crucial role in Norway’s hydroelectric power system. The tranquil setting offers a great picnic spot before we venture toward Skjervsfossen Waterfall, where twin cascades create a mesmerizing spectacle. A short walk brings us to viewpoints perfect for capturing the beauty of this natural wonder.

Norway's coastline welcomes us next, with a stop at Fjellskål Sjømatrestaurant in Bergen, a must-visit for seafood lovers. Here, we indulge in freshly caught delicacies before wandering through Bergen’s famous Fish Market, where local flavors and maritime traditions come alive. No visit to Bergen is complete without experiencing the Rødne Fjord Cruise, where our family enjoys a scenic journey through Norway’s dramatic fjords, witnessing towering cliffs, serene waters, and charming coastal villages.

For an engaging and educational experience, we explore Akvariet i Bergen - The National Aquarium, where playful penguins, sea lions, and fascinating marine species delight visitors of all ages. Our journey continues toward the Bondhusdalen Valley, where a short hike leads us to a stunning glacier-fed lake—one of the most picturesque spots on our camper route planner.

Venturing back inland, history and culture take center stage. Heddal Stave Church, Norway’s largest and most magnificent stave church, offers a glimpse into medieval craftsmanship and Viking-era heritage. At The Silver Mines, we embark on a thrilling underground tour, learning about Norway’s rich mining history while exploring deep caverns and tunnels.

Our road trip planning ensures a smooth return to Oslo, where our adventure concludes with visits to the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology and the Paradox Museum Oslo.
