About California Standard
The California Standard is your stylish bed on wheels—a sleek and compact campervan perfect for those who want simplicity, comfort, and mobility while exploring the open road. With room for up to four people, it’s ideal for travelers looking for a cozy sleeping setup and flexible living space without the extras.
Inside, you’ll find two dedicated sleeping areas: a pop-up roof tent with a Froli spring mattress for two, and a rear bench seat that folds down into another double bed. Whether you’re parked in the city or out in nature, you’ll have a warm, secure place to rest. The living area features swivel front seats and a reclining bench, creating a casual indoor zone for relaxing or hanging out. There’s also practical storage throughout to keep your essentials tidy.

More than 2 years of use on the road
- Rental price includes one driver over or under the age of 25. Additional drivers are only possible by adding the "All Inclusive" package, and then the drivers must be over the age of 25.
- Drivers under the age of 25 cannot purchase the Insurance Excess Reduction.
- If you have a driver's license that is limited to automatic vehicles only, please indicate this in the booking comments.
- Rental price includes 340 miles per night. Any additional mile will be charged at €0.49 at drop-off.
- Customer will be charged $100 for every 1⁄4 fuel tank missing when returning the camper.
- Customer will be charged $25 for every 1⁄3 L.P.G tank missing when returning the camper.
- Camper must return clean and with wastewater tank and toilet cassette empty, otherwise, up to $150 will be charged.
- If an early/late pick-up or a late return has been booked and the rental station will not be able to supply the vehicle at the requested time - we will contact you before we confirm the booking.
- In case of traveling to the Burning Man festival, there is an additional $500 to cover deep cleaning. This value is fully refundable if the vehicle is returned clean and with the grey water tank emptied. More details can be found in 'Terms & Conditions'.

But this time, the vehicle was 5 years old, the air vent above the driver's cab was torn and made noise in the wind while driving — the noise was unbearable. The microwave/oven didn't work, even when connected to 110 V. The vehicle training was rushed and incomplete. The radio was outdated, with the option to listen to CDs but no USB connection, which prevented us from listening to music. I hope my response and disappointment will reach, through you, whoever needs it and "wake them up."
