About Compact Camper
Our Compact Campervans are great little road warriors. These Toyota Estimas have lived exciting lives - they’ve chased sunsets, been tortured with questionable Spotify playlists (car-aoke!), and carried dozens of backpackers from surf breaks to sunset BBQ's.
Well-loved and well-travelled they’re all about character over cosmetics. Built for young people who value stories over shine, these budget campervans are simple, honest, and ready for another lap of the map.
Expect comfort where it counts, quirks where it doesn’t, and pure freedom in between. Each Compact Camper comes with a cosy double bed (bedding included!), curtains, and a kitchenette complete with the basics to make your trip comfortable, affordable and instagram-able!
The fridge must be plugged into the inverter to power it and keep the fridge cool while driving. At night or while parked, the fridge needs to be plugged into the white 240v power boards in the vehicle and the vehicle connected to a 240v power outlet at a powered caravan park site. Most campgrounds have powered sites.
Model Year: 2012-2015
- The camper must be returned on the agreed date at the nominated depot before 3:00pm.
- Camper pick-up or return outside of branch hours are subject to an after-hours fee of AU$110.
- Camper must be returned clean and with full fuel tank (or as received) otherwise AU$150 cleaning fee and a AU$10 refueling fee + the fuel's cost will be charged.
- No smoking in or around the camper otherwise AU$250 will be charged.
- Any traffic or parking fines or unpaid toll notices received will be charged plus AU$75 administration fees.
- Changing of drop off location will cost up to AU$1,100.
- If You cancel a booking due to be picked up between Dec 14th to Jan 15th, 100% of the booking total will be forfeited.

In June 2023 we took our first caravan trip of this kind through the Canadian Rockies. We rented the caravan through Bandana about 5 months in advance. We took a caravan through Bandana. The caravan itself met expectations and was picked up and returned safely. Avi was available before the booking, before the trip for every question (and there were quite a few), and even during the vacation. Only good words for his part in an amazing vacation. The caravan we got was at a level of equipment and comfort that was truly "German". Knowing you also have an Israeli back-up in case of issues/problems (even though there weren't any) definitely helps you get into the caravan project with peace of mind. This is my third time.
