About Hi5 Camper
Travellers Autobarn is launching our custom-built Hi5 Campervans in New Zealand! The Hi5 Camper is our biggest camper yet, seating and sleeping up to 5 people. Is ideal for families with young kids or groups of friends who would like to travel around New Zealand. Spacious enough to stand up and move around inside, the Hi5 Campervan is the perfect home-on-wheels for your New Zealand adventure.
The Hi5 Camper can accommodate the following groups:
4 mature adults; or 5 young adults; or 2 adults & 3 kids
Our Hi5 campervan comes with a large fridge, a microwave, sink and gas stove. They are fully equipped for travelling and living comfortably, whether it’s for a week, a month, or more! Best of all, we are custom-building the interior, so the bedding, kitchen, tables, and everything else inside is brand NEW in 2018-2023.
Our aim is to make your campervan holiday with your Hi5 camper a very affordable, enjoyable and memorable experience. Therefore our luxury campervan hire is the best budget rental deal that could get. Also, consider this, when you buy bus tickets and accommodation per person, and throw in the extra transport you may need when the bus only drops you in the centre of town, it may actually be cheaper to rent a luxury campervan. ATTENTION: Please be aware if you are four/five people with lots of luggage in the Hi 5 camper, we do not recommend you to rent this vehicle – luggage space is limited. If you are travelling with kids who require a baby or booster seat we ask you kindly to read through our Terms & Conditions or contact us directly so that you are aware of your responsibilities.

- Branches are closed Saturday between June and August.
- Vehicls must return with full gas bottle otherwise, NZ$50 refill fee will be charged. Prepaid Gas option is available for NZ$35.
- Vehicls must return washed, vacuumed and tidy. Customers can purchase ckeaning service for NZ$100. It doesn't allow the hirers to return the vehicle in a complete mess and a minimum fee of NZ$200 will apply.
- Vehicls must return with full fuel tank. The charge for re-filling is NZ$2.5 per litre plus NZ$50 this covers the additional labour time taken to refill the Vehicle.
- A non-refundable NZ$75 infringement processing fee will be charged per infringement or toll notice to cover processing costs in relation to any speeding, parking fine, traffic infringement or toll notice.
- The price for the living equipment is for up to 4 persons. The fifth person has an additional cahrge of NZ$25.
- Drivers age is between 18-80.
- You must ensure that the porta potti is emptied and clean prior to returning the vehicle otherwise a charge of NZ$150 will apply.
- Sleeping bag and roof racks are available for Stationwagon only.

In June 2023 we took our first caravan trip of this kind through the Canadian Rockies. We rented the caravan through Bandana about 5 months in advance. We took a caravan through Bandana. The caravan itself met expectations and was picked up and returned safely. Avi was available before the booking, before the trip for every question (and there were quite a few), and even during the vacation. Only good words for his part in an amazing vacation. The caravan we got was at a level of equipment and comfort that was truly "German". Knowing you also have an Israeli back-up in case of issues/problems (even though there weren't any) definitely helps you get into the caravan project with peace of mind. This is my third time.
We rented a caravan through Avi. The process was simple and efficient. The rental abroad was very successful. Definitely recommend.
