Unlike a car rental, a caravan is a much more complex operation. We preferred to rent through an Israeli company in case things went wrong, so we'd have someone to talk to in Israel. We left them with a very comfortable feeling that we have backup here, and if we really need help on the trip, they're here for us.

One-way rentals within China are often possible but depend on the suppliers depot locations and vehicle availability International one-way rentals where you pick up in China and drop off in another country are generally not permitted
How far in advance should I book my China RV rental
We recommend booking your motorhome hire 3 to 6 months in advance especially if you plan to travel during the peak seasons of spring April-May or autumn September-October Booking early secures better vehicle selection and more competitive pricing

The daily rental rate typically includes the vehicle basic insurance coverage and standard kitchen and bedding kits Additional items like GPS or outdoor furniture may be extra You can upgrade to a top-level deductible for extra peace of mind as this is an optional add-on and not included by default
Do I need a special licence for a motorhome in China
No a special license is not required A standard valid car drivers license from your home country is sufficient to legally drive all classes of rental motorhomes in China including the largest Class A vehicles No commercial drivers license CDL is needed

The best times for an RV trip are during the spring April to May and autumn September to October These seasons offer the most pleasant weather for driving and outdoor activities with moderate temperatures and less rainfall across most of the country
