• Transfer fees of N$ 750 per rental within 24 hours of rental. This rate is for one leg before and after the rental date. Extra transfers will be billed separately. Please note transfer time from our office to the airport will be at 09H00 and 15H30 on day of departure

Extensions:
• Should the customer wish to extend his rental in excess of the voucher value, he will be charged the 7-14 day Rack Rate. The amount due will be collected direct from the Renter.
• The Renter has to inform Caprivi Car Hire 3 days prior of return date for extension of car rental.
General:
• Rentals are subject to the standard rental conditions as described on the current brochure and rental agreement.
• We do not allow beach, dune and riverbed driving. NO SANDWICH HARBOUR, VAN ZYL’S PASS AND KHAUDUM.
• Driver minimum age is 23 and maximum age is 70 years. Should the client not fall into this category, please consult our office.
• We only accept driving licenses in English or International driving licenses. We do not arrange for translation. This should be done by client/agent.
• The Renter must have a valid credit card for the Excess deposit. (Visa or Master Card only). Debit cards are only accepted for rental payments.
• DPO payment platform also available.
• Early Returns are not refundable.
• On confirmation of rental please provide us with the e-mail address of the client for correspondence regarding logistical arrangements. (flight details and documents needed).
• Rental charges are calculated from the time the vehicle is reserved. Late collections will not be credited (i.e flight delays).
• Night Driving outside of Towns are not allowed.
• Caprivi Car Hire is not liable for any loss and damages of personal property.
Vehicle drop off and collection Fees:
Fees/one way - as on request (price are subject to change without prior notice).
Insurance Options:
• Standard insurance option: A block of N$ 50,000 will be reserved on the client’s credit card.
Reduced Excess Options
• Option 1 - for rentals 10 days and longer: Client can purchase the benefits of the Reduced Excess Waiver (REW) for N$ 170 per day and reduce the applicable excess to N$ 20,000.
• Option 2 - for rentals 10 days and longer: Client can purchase the benefits of the Super Excess Cover (SEC1) for N$ 270 per day and reduce his liability to N$ 18,000.
• Option 3 - for rentals 10 days and longer: Client can purchase the benefits of the Super Excess Cover (SEC2) for N$ 370 per day and reduce his liability to N$ 3,000.
Insurance excludes rim and under body, sandstorm, water damage, burnt clutch, loss of life and personal property. Also note no body or mechanical damage outside Namibian borders are covered until full data download from black box has been done.
If an accident is not caused by the renter, the excess will be Zero. Should an accident occur where no 3rd party was involved, the excess will be payable by the Renter. Excess will be payable by the Renter for any damage caused by an animal.
• Damage caused by the Renter is fully payable.
• Car Accessories and Camping equipment is not Insured.
• All excess amounts will be released after 3 working days.
• If vehicle is damaged because of negligence, full damage value is payable.
• Replacement vehicle: In case of accident the renter has to sign a new contract, new excess and has to pay the rent for the remaining days and the Tow in Costs.
• Excess is double if accident occurred in Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania.
• The security of the Excess chosen is required by credit card on collection of the vehicle.
• Insurance conditions and excesses may be changed without prior notice.
The Renter understand that he may not:
• Use the Vehicle for the conveyance, whether of passengers or goods, for a reward without the Lessor's written consent;
• Propel or tow any other vehicle including any caravan or trailer without the Lessor's written consent;
• Participate in any motor sport or races of any kind;
• Drive beyond the borders of Namibia unless authorized by the Lessor in writing;
• Drive on any of the prohibited roads / areas specified by the Lessor on the accompanying map;
• Drive in any area where, according to the Namibian Police or Security Forces, there is or may be war, incidents of civil unrest, political disturbances or riots or any activity associated with any of the foregoing;
• Drive in twilight, after sunset or before sunrise unless authorized by the Lessor in wtiting;
• Drive through water levels higher than 30cm/1 foot;
• Drive through rivers, even run-off rivers or dry rivers, or along riverbeds;
• Drive during sandstorms;
• Do bush bashing with the vehicle;
• Drive in low range (4L) 4WD (four-wheel drive) for prolonged / extensive periods and at SPEEDS exceeding 30km/h, (you are advised to switch back to 4H high range (or alternatively H2) as soon as road conditions allows you to exercise this action to reduce excessive powertrain wear and possible damage);
• Drive in low range (4L) 4WD (four-wheel drive) on Tarmac / Paved Road;
• Drive the vehicle on any beach meaning below the high-tide watermark or through any wet salt-pans or water pools when driving at the coast;
• Use hand-held mobile phones whilst driving;
• Drive whilst being under the influence of intoxicating liquor or any drug
